Business Details

Description of portable copper sulfate reference electrode:

Portable copper sulfate reference electrode is widely used in the cathodic protection of metal structures such as buried pipelines and above-ground storage tanks due to its convenience in carrying and measurement.

Method of use:

1. Start the cap and pour the copper sulfate crystal into the electrode tube.

2. Pour an appropriate amount of distilled water or pure water to dissolve the copper sulfate crystal to form a saturated copper sulfate solution. The sign of saturation is that the electrode tube body has always maintained the presence of crystals. After tightening can be used to measure the potential.

3. When measuring the potential, the electrode body is inserted into the dielectric (water or soil) to the soil, as long as its end is in contact with the soil, and the measurement is as close to the pipeline as possible to reduce the influence of the pipe ground potential. When measuring potential, one end of the multimeter probe is connected to the lead wire of the reference electrode, and one end is connected to the test line or test terminal.
