Sacrificial anode installation instructions
1. Sacrificial anode used17kgmade of magnesium alloy,
2. The laying of sacrificial anode should be perpendicular to the pipeline, and should be selected in the place where the soil layer is thick, wet and low resistivity. The minimum distance from the outer wall of the pipe shall not be less0.5mThe buried depth is the same as the buried depth of the pipeline center and shall not be less1m.
3. The size of the sacrificial anode pit is0.5×0.5×1.5m. Bags for anode fill must be of natural fiber fabric (cotton or sacks). The use of man-made fabrics is strictly prohibited. Packing materials can be packed indoors or on site. The thickness of the filling material around the anode shall be consistent, and the thickness shall not be less50mm,After the anode bag is in place, water first to soak the filling material, and then backfill. During construction, it shall be ensured that the packing is dense and the anode is centered.
4. The reference electrode is used for the measurement of cathodic protection potential, and is buried in the center of the pipeline centerline and as close to the pipeline as possible, with a horizontal distance100mmImmerse the reference electrode together with the packing material for more10Hours, buried and then water to moisten the soil around it. The reference electrode filling bag must be made of natural fiber fabric (cotton or sack), and the filling material can be packed indoors or on site.
5. Cable and pipe connection
Specific steps:
1) Pipe Cleaning
2) Cut a cut with a knife. (12Point direction, approx.100mm2size)
3) Heat the cut area with fire and remove it with a shovel.PELayer, use a wire brush to polish the epoxy layer to form a diameter of about3cmThe circular smooth surface.
4) Will be four weeksPEUse a steel file to rouge the softened part and scrape off the raised and uneven part (convenient for patching).
5) Peel one end of the cable for approx.3cm.
6) Press one end of the cable on the smooth surface with a copper sheet, do aluminothermic welding, and weld it on the pipe.
7) Remove burrs, spatters and welding slag at the welding place and check the welding quality.
8) After qualified, use hot melt adhesive to repair the wound here.
9) Two people cooperate to operate, one person presses the cable on the pipe, the other person applies the melted rubber strip on the cable, resulting in a smooth slope, forming a transition, which is convenient for the installation and operation of the patch.
10) Repair the wound (according to the requirements of antiseptic repair).
a) Use two pieces of patching film to repair the wound, first make up one piece, and wait for it to cool down. Clean and rag the exposed cable.
Reason for cooling: The first patch also needs to be scratched to prevent it from being scratched due to high temperature.
b) Install the second patch to cross the first patch.
11) Connect the anode pack exposed cable to the cable connected to the terminal board with a copper sleeve, and compact the copper sleeve at both ends and the middle three positions with hydraulic tongs. After confirming the fixation, put on the heat shrinkable sleeve and heat it with fire to shrink the heat shrinkable sleeve and cover the copper sleeve.
12) Expose the solder joint to the cable and reserve a serpentine bend. Fix the serpentine bend on the pipe wall with a rope or electrical tape to prevent the cable or solder joint from breaking away under force.
13) Bury the anode bag and reference electrode into the anode pit, water, soak, and backfill.
14) Clean up two anode thread ends, solder joint thread ends and reference electrode thread ends, totaling four. Reserved for later connection to the patch panel.
aluminum hot welding procedures:
1) Strip the cable skin to a suitable length, and remove dirt and oxide skin with a wire brush;
2) Remove the coating on the welded steel pipe with a file and expose the metal substrate;
3) Put the mold in place and insert the cable into the bottom hole;
4) Put the metal sheet into the mold cavity;
5) Pour in flux and tamp;
6) Put in the igniter and close the cover;
7) ignition welding
Remove the mold, eliminate the scum, and check the welded joints
