To prevent corrosion of the pipeline, cathodic protection of sacrificial anode shall be carried out for the pipeline crossing large and medium-sized rivers and the pipeline section with strong soil corrosion at the ground bed. The main construction of sacrificial anode cathodic protection includes the installation of sacrificial anode ground bed, the installation of reference electrode, the installation of test point and the repair of pipeline. The main construction procedures are anode pit excavation, cable welding, reference electrode and test pile installation, anti-corrosion layer repair, inspection and backfilling, including test pile installation steps, cable copper core welding, test pile installation, anti-corrosion layer repair, inspection and fixation.
The arrangement of sacrificial anode has obvious influence on the distribution of geoelectric field and the potential distribution of buried pipeline. According to the geological conditions of buried area, the pipe diameter of buried pipe and the presence of asphalt anticorrosive coating, the arrangement of sacrificial anode cathodic protection is based on the construction principle of uniform protection potential distribution, minimizing the influence of mutual shielding between anodes and self-shielding of front and rear walls of pipeline, which is beneficial to pipeline cathodic protection, when encountering a valve well, an anode is installed for each valve well for cathodic protection. The density of the anode needs to be increased at the seventh point and the end point to enhance the protection of the pipeline as much as possible.
Under normal circumstances, the anode group is 2-5 meters away from the outer wall of the pipeline. Under special circumstances, if the soil cannot be excavated at the position 2 meters away from the outer wall of the pipeline, there are a large number of stones and areas with large soil resistivity, the anode group should be more than 300mm away from the outer wall of the pipeline.
